Does anyone else agree that John McCain needs to call all his campaign aides together and find the source or sources of these hateful leaks, rumours and smears against Gov. Palin? I think he should call them all in, hash this out and put a stop to it. Then hold a press conference to defend her. This would in my opinion be the honorable thing to do and I know he is an honorable man. I have posted a blog on this here, tried to contact John McCain and emailed Fox News my feelings in this as well. Fox news did report today that hundreds of emails have come in asking for the same thing, for John McCain to defend Gov. Palin and put a stop to this now. These attacks not only hurt Sarah Palin and her family but this hurts John McCain, the GOP, the campaign and all of us who supported him and Gov. Palin. I think their release of the shopping spree and figures spent on Gov. Palin's wardrobe helped Obama to defeat McCain and Palin in the final weeks when something like these rumors coming from top aides in his own campaign was the LAST thing McCain Palin needed!

I totally agree. I've been very disappointed at the talk that has come out from the McCain camp "insiders" ...many unnamed. This all reflects badly on John McCain.

Only cowards come out and say things without disclosing their names. When Senator McCain announced Gov. Palin for VP; the press went up to Ak with money to buy information and nothing..not one true dirty thing could they stick on her. This is just sourgrapes on the part of a poorly run campaign in comparison to the Democrats - they had lied and cheated the system in order to win. http://www.bandersnatch.com/inner21.htm

His top aides turned down Fox Network to allow them free airtime during Obama's infomercial - in fact, it would have been great for them to have had 30 minutes afterwards so they could actually repudiate the facts that he made to the public.

We as conservatives need to look at focusing on an agenda to attract young Republicans 15yo to 18 yo for their votes will count in 2010 and 2012...we need to win back seats and win back the Presidency!

Palin, Huckabee or Jindhal...great Candidates

The first BIG mistake made by his campaign was suspending the campaign right before the first debate so he could go back to Washington and make a big deal regarding the bailout. At this same time BO remained calm and collected.

Obama gives a speech in front of congress and national television the day the plan is to be signed ...while John is a no-show with his own speech. Who was giving McCain advice? ...someone being paid under-the-table from the BO campaign office?

Then the Fox Network opportunity to visit during the Obamamercial is missed!

In my opinion these are all MAJOR mistakes and you can't pile up too many big mistakes and expect to win a campaign.

The Palen treatment just shows you the character of some of these people that have been working on the McCain campaign.

On top of what I think are campaign mistakes, my frustration came to a peak when, with no explanation, my account on McCainSpace was revoked. All I did that day was post the MSNBC Election Results map that you'll find at the bottom of the main page here. I've emailed them three times politely asking to be reinstated ...with no response whatsoever. Sure makes me feel special for my efforts (time and money spent) to spread the truths of Obama for the last six weeks.

I think John McCain was a good candidate surrounded by bad advice and you can judge the character of some of these people by their behavior after losing the election.

I agree 100% with all you said here! I called my daugher when John McCain announced he was suspending his campaign and wanted to back out of the debate after weeks of demanding town hall meetings with Obama. We both said what is he doing and felt it was one BIG mistake! It made McCain look rash and Obama look calm. Then when he went back and the Rep. didn't agree but John McCain ended up voting for the bail out just like Obama, that pretty much ended our cause right there. But he still had a chance when Joe the Plumber got Obama to admit his spread the wealth plan. Then the wardrobe thing with Palin came out of McCain's own camp and the press jumped on that and off of Obama's spread the wealth. Now we can see what kind of idiots were advising him, bickering amonst themselves and with one of their own candidates. Now they just want someone to blame and I think they want their guy (Romeny?) free of the Palin effect to run again in 2012. Whoever advised McCain to suspend his campaign and try to get out of the debate had to be an Obama plant or the worst idiot of them all. John McCain should have gone on O'Reilly and why wouldn't he? It makes no sense not to, free air time to counter Obama's multi million dollar infocommercial. Idiots! I think a group of plain ole "Joes" could have advised him better! Sorry about McCain space. As I told you earlier, from what I can tell they are taking off folks there who promote other websites. They put out a second plea today not to put that in blogs but to post in the forum they set up for other related and approved websites. Again, I can't imagine why this is bothering them so. We have made some good like minded friendships there and are only looking for places to meet again once the site is down. Thanks for all you do and have done for our cause.

Too late!! The die that reveals McCain's lack of character has been cast!!!!! McCain is a very experienced politician who knows VERY well what should be done to mitigate the attacks on Sarah Palin.

McCain doesn't need Sarah Palin anymore and he doesn't need us anymore, the people who supported him despite his rhino-ism, who made zillions of phone calls for his campaign, and who defended him when his big government propositions were anathema to the core values of conservatives.

McCain is a has-been. He has won his senate seat (barely!!!) and can now hold Governor Palin responsible for the demise of his last "hope" to be president. If not directly responsible for the scorched earth being left by his staph-ers (not a typo here!!), by his reticence, he is as culpable.

Good riddance to McCain. Governor Palin needs nothing from him. He could never re-pay her for what she gave him. Sarah Palin 2012. Period. Nothing else.

Sorry to say, but I'm inclined to agree. Any senior politician should be expected to be judged by the behavior of those they choose as subordinates.

I still have a lot of respect for John McCain and for his heroic service to our country. I just wish he would stand up now and protect our "Lady Sarah"
